Current status: Valid as Trimma hayashii Hagiwara & Winterbottom 2007. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Indonesia east to Marshall Islands and New Guinea, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
