A.] in Williams, Neely, Walsh & Burkhead 2007:12, Fig. 2b [Zootaxa No. 1549; ref. 29253] Sipsey Fork at Alabama highway 33, 3 kilometers northeast of Rock Springs, Winston County, Alabama, 34°13'06"N, 87°22'09"W, U.S.A. Holotype: UF 165737. Paratypes: many at AUM, INHS, TU, UAIC, UF, UMMZ and USNM. Plus non-type specimens. •Valid as Percina sipsi Williams & Neely 2007 -- (Scharpf 2008:40 [ref. 30399], Page & Burr 2011:515 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:142 [ref. 32708], Near et al. 2021:35 [ref. 38235]). Current status: Valid as Percina sipsi Williams & Neely 2007. Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Distribution: Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River, northeastern Alabama, U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater.
