L.] 2007:649, Fig. 1B [Copeia 2007 (no. 3); ref. 29262] 10 kilometers west-northwest of Hamilton,, Blue Springs Branch at Lower Blue Springs road, 32°42'49"N, 84°58'08"W, Harris County, Georgia, USA. Holotype: UAIC 12371.14. Paratypes: many at ANSP, AUM, GMNH, INHS, TU, UF, UMMZ and USNM. Plus many non-type specimens mentioned in Material Examined. •Valid as Cottus chattahoochee Neely, Williams & Mayden 2007 -- (Scharpf 2008:9 [ref. 30399], Page & Burr 2011:477 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:122 [ref. 32708], Goto et al. 2014:[10] [ref. 33456], Page et al. 2023:183 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Cottus chattahoochee Neely, Williams & Mayden 2007. Cottidae. Distribution: North America: Chattahoochee River drainage above the Fall Line in Georgia (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
