Current status: Valid as Chromis earina Pyle, Earle & Greene 2008. Pomacentridae: Chrominae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Palau; Raja Ampat Islands (West Papua, Indonesia) and Papua New Guinea east to Fiji, south to Vanuatu. Habitat: marine.
