ignitops, Nectamia Fraser [T. H.] 2008:23, Figs. 3F, 10, 18 [Zootaxa No. 1691; ref. 29471] Tioman Island, Malaysia. Holotype: BPBM 21897. Paratypes: BPBM 38585 (4). Plus non-type specimens at CAS and ROM. Name is a noun in apposition. •Valid as Nectamia ignitops Fraser 2008 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:385 [ref. 31980], Mabuchi et al. 2014:202 [ref. 33426], Kuiter & Kozawa 2019:176 [ref. 36965], Allen & Erdmann 2024:411 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Nectamia ignitops Fraser 2008. Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Western Pacific: South China Sea: Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Habitat: marine.
