Holotype: MRAC 2007-37-P-1. Paratypes: MRAC 2007-37-P-2-3 (2). Plus additional non-preserved material. Apparently published in Jan. 2008, not in 2007. •Valid as Nothobranchius cardinalis Watters, Cooper & Wildekamp 2008 -- (Neumann 2008:59 [ref. 30291]). Current status: Valid as Nothobranchius cardinalis Watters, Cooper & Wildekamp 2008. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Mbwemkuru River basin, coastal floodplains of Tanzania. Habitat: freshwater.
