H.] 2008:131, Figs. 1-4 [Journal of the American Killifish Association v. 40 (nos 5 & 6) [for 2007]; ref. 29473] Pool in the course of the seasonal Lisinjiri River, a tributary of the Mbwemkuru River, 91 kilometers northwest of the town of Nachingwea, the direction of village of Liwale and near Mtawatawa village, 9°54.102'S, 38°15.384'E, Tanzania. Holotype: MRAC 2007-37-P-1. Paratypes: MRAC 2007-37-P-2-3 (2). Plus additional non-preserved material. Apparently published in Jan. 2008, not in 2007. •Valid as Nothobranchius cardinalis Watters, Cooper & Wildekamp 2008 -- (Neumann 2008:59 [ref. 30291]). Current status: Valid as Nothobranchius cardinalis Watters, Cooper & Wildekamp 2008. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Mbwemkuru River basin, coastal floodplains of Tanzania. Habitat: freshwater.
