Holotype: NCIP 6307. Paratypes: BMNH 2007.11.26.1 (1), MNHN 2007-1930 (1), NCIP 6317 (1), USNM 390776 (1), WAM P.32893-001 (1). •Valid as Pterois andover Allen & Erdmann 2008 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:220 [ref. 31980], Fricke et al. 2019:101 [ref. 36673], Chou et al. 2023:6 [ref. 41366], Allen & Erdmann 2024:238 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Pterois andover Allen & Erdmann 2008. Scorpaenidae: Pteroinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: eastern Indonesia east to New Ireland (Papua New Guinea). Habitat: brackish, marine.
