Holotype: NCIP 6320. Paratypes: USNM 390773 (1), WAM.32891-001 (1). Treated as a noun in apposition. •Valid as Pseudochromis jace Allen, Gill & Erdmann 2008 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:337 [ref. 31980], Gill et al. 2017:338 [ref. 35650], Allen & Erdmann 2024:360 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Pseudochromis jace Allen, Gill & Erdmann 2008. Pseudochromidae: Pseudochrominae. Distribution: Western Pacific: West Papua and Halmahera (Indonesia). Habitat: marine.
