colubrina, Kali Melo [M. R. S.] 2008:24, Figs. 1F, 10 [Zootaxa No. 1747; ref. 29586] Off Brazil, subtropical South Atlantic, 19°50'S, 39°10'W, depth 1342-1444 meters. Holotype: MNRJ 31663. Paratypes: Many at AMS, MNRJ, NMNZ and USNM. See Kali caribbaea Prokofiev 2008. •Synonym of Kali caribbaea Prokofiev 2008 -- (Prokofiev 2011:809 [ref. 32472]). •Valid as Kali colubrina Melo 2008 -- (Melo 2010:56 [ref. 30939], Ban et al. 2013:117 [ref. 33256], Melo & Stewart 2015:1451 [ref. 34290], Fermon et al. 2022:212 [ref. 39448] with question, Fricke et al. 2024:275 [ref. 41622]). Current status: Valid as Kali colubrina Melo 2008. Chiasmodontidae. Distribution: Circumglobal (including Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, South China Sea, East China Sea, Timor Sea, Coral Sea, Tasman Sea, Gulf of California/Mexico). IUCN (2019): Least Concern. Habitat: marine.
