heptaktinos, Phalloceros Lucinda [P. H. F.] 2008:119, Figs. 8-9 [Neotropical Ichthyology v. 6 (no. 2); ref. 29669] Stream affluent to arroio dos Ratos, at Horto Florestal Mariana (RIOCELL), ca. 30°21'S, 51°36'W, Mariana Pimentel, Rop Grande do Sul, Brazil. Holotype: MCP 30406. Paratypes: MCP 19831 (20, 4 c&s), 19832 (19), 26071 (5), 30569 (2). Species epithet is a noun in apposition. •Valid as Phalloceros heptaktinos Lucinda 2008 -- (Meyer 2015:183 [ref. 34698], Bertaco et al. 2016:423 [ref. 34561], Huber 2019:88 [ref. 36941]). Current status: Valid as Phalloceros heptaktinos Lucinda 2008. Poeciliidae: Poeciliinae. Distribution: Tributaries of the arroio dos Ratos, Jacuí basin, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
