pellos, Phalloceros Lucinda [P. H. F.] 2008:149 [Neotropical Ichthyology v. 6 (no. 2); ref. 29669] Antonina, lateral pond on road near rio Nunes, Paraná, Brazil, 25°20'29"S, 48°46'29"W. Holotype: MCP 31142. Paratypes:MCP 31138 (2), 31141 (121); MHNCI 6151 (8, 2 c&s), 6237 (3), 6262 (4, 2 c&s), 9068 (1). Species epithet is an adjective. •Valid as Phalloceros pellos Lucinda 2008 -- (Meyer 2015:188 [ref. 34698], Huber 2019:89 [ref. 36941], Reis et al. 2020:474 [ref. 38364]). Current status: Valid as Phalloceros pellos Lucinda 2008. Poeciliidae: Poeciliinae. Distribution: South America: small coastal drainages flowing into Paranaguá Bay, southeastern Mata Atlantica (Paraná State, Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
