Current status: Valid as Maculabatis astra (Last, Manjaji-Matsumoto & Pogonoski 2008). Dasyatidae: Urogymninae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: northern Australia and New Guinea. Habitat: brackish, marine.
