INPA 22862] (1). •Valid as Leporinus amazonicus Santos & Zuanon 2008 -- (Sidlauskas & Mol 2011:[12] [ref. 31287] with major range extension, Burns et al. 2014:213 [ref. 33354], Garavello et al. 2014:325 [ref. 33378], Sarmiento et al. 2014:183 [ref. 35004], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:39 [ref. 35633], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:15 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Leporinus amazonicus Santos & Zuanon 2008. Anostomidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin (Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
