Current status: Valid as Lobocheilos ovalis Kottelat & Tan 2008. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Sarawak, Brunei and Sabah, from the Rejang (Sarawak) to the Padras (Sabah) drainages, Borneo. Habitat: freshwater.
