Holotype: BMNH 1981.2.17.794. Paratypes: BMNH 1981.2.17.795-806 (11). •Valid as Chrysichthys turkana Hardman 2008. Current status: Valid as Chrysichthys turkana Hardman 2008. Claroteidae. Distribution: Lake Turkana, Kenya. Habitat: freshwater.
