[Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia v. 157; ref. 29737] Río Nichare, at Raudal La Raya, 1 kilometer from its mouth, 6°32'N, 64°49'W, Bolívar, Venezuela. Holotype: MCNG 34116. Paratypes: at ANSP, MBUCV, MCNG. Plus many non-type specimens. •Valid as Phenacorhamdia provenzanoi DoNascimiento & Milani 2008 -- (DoNascimiento et al. 2017:91 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Phenacorhamdia provenzanoi DoNascimiento & Milani 2008. Heptapteridae: Heptapterinae. Distribution: Orinoco River basin, Venezuela and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
