Holotype: MUSM 31065. Paratypes: ANSP 182807 (1), 182808 (1, c&s); AUM 46569 (2); MUSM 10598 (2), 31066 (2). •Valid as Gelanoglanis travieso Rengifo & Lujan 2008 -- (Calegari et al. 2014:705 [ref. 33611], Calegari & Reis 2016:7 [1708] [ref. 34846], Calegari et al. 2019:[74] [ref. 36961]). Current status: Valid as Gelanoglanis travieso Rengifo & Lujan 2008. Auchenipteridae: Centromochlinae. Distribution: Río Nieva, Río Marañon drainage and Río Marañon, Departamento Amazonas, Perú. Habitat: freshwater.
