brachyurus, Pseudecheneis Zhou [W.], Li [X.] & Yang [Y.] 2008:108, Fig. 1 [Raffles Bulletin of Zoology v. 56 (no. 1); ref. 29742] Shuduan, 25°06.62'N, 97°56.21'E, at a branch of Dayinjiang, tributary of Irrawaddy River, Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province, China. Holotype: SWFC 200103294. Paratypes: SWFC 200103289-2193 (5), 200103295-302 (8), 200103394 (1). Plus non-type specimens. The genus Pseudecheneis is feminine, and brachyurus was used as an adjective, so the correct spelling is Pseudecheneis brachyura. •Valid as Pseudecheneis brachyura Zhou, Li & Yang 2008 -- (Anganthoibi & Vishwanath 2010:199 [ref. 31042], Kottelat 2013:231 [ref. 32989]). •Valid as Pseudocheneis brachyurus Zhou, Li & Yang 2008 -- (Zhang et al. 2016:177 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Pseudecheneis brachyura Zhou, Li & Yang 2008. Sisoridae: Glyptosterninae. Distribution: Dayinjing and Longchuanjiang tributaries of the Irrawaddy River, China. Habitat: freshwater.
