uyato, Squalus Rafinesque [C. S.] 1810:13, Pl. 14 (fig. 2) [Caratteri di alcuni nuovi generi e nuove specie di animali e piante della Sicilia; ref. 3594] Sicily, Italy, Mediterranean Sea. Neotype: BMNH 2021.10.4.1 (eviscerated). Also appeared in Rafinesque 1810:45 [ref. 3595] as Squalus uyatus. Böhlke 1984:158 [ref. 13621] regards Bonaparte's 1834 [ref. 517] Spinax uyatus as a new name proposal and lists ANSP 483 as holotype. Habitat: marine.
