Paratypes: (4) lost. Types at RIA 1 [= NCNTTSI] are lost according to Endruweit 2014:144 [ref. 33205]. •Listed as Vanmanenia caobangensis Nguyen 2005 -- (Yi et al. 2014:95 [ref. 33322], Kottelat 2017:93 [ref. 35488]), Current status: Valid as Vanmanenia caobangensis Nguyen 2005. Gastromyzontidae. Distribution: Bang river system, Red River basin, Cao Bang Province, Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
