caobangensis, Vanmanenia Nguyen [V. H.] 2006:571, Fig. 16 [Freshwater fishes of Vietnam v. 2; ref. 29730] Bang River, Cao Bang, Cao Bang Province, Vietnam. Holotype: NCNTTS I, Bac Ninh (lost). Paratypes: (4) lost. Types at RIA 1 [= NCNTTSI] are lost according to Endruweit 2014:144 [ref. 33205]. •Listed as Vanmanenia caobangensis Nguyen 2006 -- (Yi et al. 2014:95 [ref. 33322], Kottelat 2017:93 [ref. 35488]), •Valid as Vanmanenia caobangensis Nguyen 2006 -- (Dang et al. 2024:185 [ref. 41354]). Current status: Valid as Vanmanenia caobangensis Nguyen 2006. Gastromyzontidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Bang river system, Pearl River basin, Cao Bang Province, Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
