Types at RIA 1 [= NCNTTSI] are lost according to Endruweit 2014:144 [ref. 33205]. •Valid as Balitora haithanhi Nguyen 2005 -- (Liu et al. 2012:[2] [ref. 31548], Bhoite et al. 2012:3039 [ref. 32191]). •Questionably a synonym of Balitora kwangsiensis (Fang 1930) -- (Kottelat 2012:45 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:186 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Balitora haithanhi Nguyen 2005. Balitoridae. Distribution: Gâm River, Na Hang, Tuyên Quang Province, Vietnam (if valid). Habitat: freshwater.
