Paratypes: ANSP 187407 [ex INHS 49549] (2); AUM 28140 (14); INHS 49549 (9, now 7, 1 c&s); MBML 2046 (3); MNRJ 287720 (3, 1 c&s). •Valid as Tatia meesi Sarmento-Soares & Martins-Pinheiro 2008 -- (Pavanelli & Bifi 2009:200 [ref. 30255], Calegari et al. 2019:[82] [ref. 36961], Sarmento-Soares & Martins-Pinheiro 2020:128 [ref. 37877], Taphorn et al. 2022:44 [ref. 41297]). Current status: Valid as Tatia meesi Sarmento-Soares & Martins-Pinheiro 2008. Auchenipteridae: Centromochlinae. Distribution: South America: Essequibo River basin (Guyana) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
