Current status: Valid as Triplophysa waisihani Cao & Zhang 2008. Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Kax River, tributary of the Ili River, and Manas River drainage, Xinjiang-Uighur Autonomous Region, China. Habitat: freshwater.
