Holotype: ANSP 187477. Paratypes: many at ANSP, CUMV, INHS. Plus many types. Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[22] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Brachyhypopomus bullocki Sullivan & Hopkins 2009 -- (Almirón et al. 2010:572 [ref. 31124], Sullivan et al. 2013:3 [ref. 32879], Cox Fernandes et al. 2014:110 [ref. 33285], Crampton et al. 2016:54 [ref. 34832], Crampton et al. 2017:702 [ref. 35114], Ferraris et al. 2017:[22] [ref. 35236], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:65 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Brachyhypopomus bullocki Sullivan & Hopkins 2009. Hypopomidae. Distribution: Amazon and Orinoco river basins: Brazil, Colombia, Guyana and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
