Paratypes: CMNFI 2008-0059 (1); ZISP 54432 (2), 54433 (1), 54434 (8), 54435 (6), 54436 (6). Plus non-type material. •Questionably a synonym of Lethenteron camtschaticum (Tilesius 1811) -- (Parin et al. 2014:15 [ref. 33547]). •Valid as Lampetra ninae (Naseka, Tuniyev & Renaud 2009) -- (Tutman et al. 2017:541 [ref. 35349], Kuljanishvili et al. 2020:[6] [ref. 37535], Pereira et al. 2021:[10] 1991 [ref. 40490]). •Questinably valid as Lampetra ninae (Naseka, Tuniyev & Renaud 2009) -- (Dyldin et al. 2022:[4] [ref. 39193]). •Valid as Lethenteron ninae Naseka, Tuniyev & Renaud 2009 -- (Renaud 2011:74 [ref. 31770], Dyldin et al. 2020:109 [ref. 37569], Naseka & Renaud 2020:53 [ref. 37921]). Current status: Valid as Lethenteron ninae Naseka, Tuniyev & Renaud 2009. Petromyzontidae. Distribution: Eastern Europe: Black Sea basin, western Transcaucasia (Russia and Abkhazia). Habitat: freshwater.
