Current status: Valid as Chaetodontoplus poliourus Randall & Rocha 2009. Pomacanthidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: eastern Indonesia east to Palau, New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
