Holotype: MCZ 1364-S. Paratypes: MCZ 61113 (1); TCWC 3515.1 (2), 3516.1 (1); USNM 267045 (3). Current status: Valid as Bathyraja peruana McEachran & Miyake 1984. Arhynchobatidae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific: Peru south to Chile, including Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.
