Holotype (unique): USNM 87538 [ex AMNH 5198]. Species misspelled microstachys in caption to Fig. 1. Distribution: Northeastern Pacific: southern British Columbia (Canada) south to Pacific coast of central Baja California (Mexico); Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
