L.] 2010:22, Figs. 2-4 [aqua, International Journal of Ichthyology v. 16 (no. 1); ref. 30713] Coral reef in Harvey Bay, 8°54.440'S, 148°39.306'E, east of Oro Bay, Papua New Guinea. Holotype: USNM 218602. Paratypes: AMS IA.5741-2 (2), CUMV 24992 (1), USNM 221705 (1), WAM P.32840-001 (1). •Valid as Hemiscyllium michaeli Allen & Dudgeon 2010 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:50 [ref. 31980], Allen et al. 2013:124 [ref. 32791], Weigmann 2016:9 [ref. 34211], Allen et al. 2016:81 [ref. 35399], White et al. 2018:74 [ref. 35860], White & Ko'ou 2018:20 [ref. 35922], Dudgeon et al. 2020:B [ref. 37271], Allen & Erdmann 2024:51 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Hemiscyllium michaeli Allen & Dudgeon 2010. Hemiscylliidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Milne Bay (Papua New Guinea) endemic. Habitat: marine.
