Holotype: MCNG 44286. Paratypes: ANSP 165222 (2). Plus one non-type specimen. Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[15] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Sternarchorhynchus yepezi de Santana & Vari 2010 -- (Ferraris et al. 2017:[15] [ref. 35236], Lasso in Lasso & Morales-Betancourt 2022:90 [ref. 40783]). Current status: Valid as Sternarchorhynchus yepezi de Santana & Vari 2010. Apteronotidae: Apteronotinae. Distribution: South America: central portions of Orinoco River (Venezuela); ?Amazon River (Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
