Holotype: MBUCV-V-30230. Paratypes:(many) at ANSP, MBUCV-V, MCP, UF, USNM. The gender of Phenacogaster is feminine, therefore mandatory correction to maculoblonga (R. Fricke, 1 May 2016). •Valid as Phenacogaster maculoblonga Lucena & Malabarba 2010 -- (DoNascimiento et al. 2017:47 [ref. 35633], Urbano-Bonilla et al. 2018:89 [ref. 35773]).
