M.] 2010:124, Figs. 1-7, 17-18 [Vertebrate Zoology v. 60 (no. 2); ref. 30947] A few hundred meters above mouth of the Igarapé Prósperitáte, a small right-hand tributary of the Rio Preto new Lago Urubu, about 12.5 kilometers north-northwest from the junction with the Rio Negro, Amazonas, Brazil. Holotype: MZUSP 106589. Paratypes: CAS 220433 (1), 220434 (1); MTD F32146 (1), F32147 (1), F32148 (1); MZUSP 106590 (1). Plus non-type specimens photographed. •Valid as Dicrossus foirni Römer, Hahn & Vergara 2010 -- (Kullander 2011:80 [ref. 31290], Staeck 2017:243 [ref. 35639]). Current status: Valid as Dicrossus foirni Römer, Hahn & Vergara 2010. Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: Rio Negro drainage, Amazon basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
