Holotype: NRM 40935. Paratypes: NRM 40922 (2 c&s), 57222 (1), 59658 (1 c&s), 60761 (1). Current status: Valid as Psilorhynchus brachyrhynchus Conway & Britz 2010. Psilorhynchidae. Distribution: Ayeyarwaddy River drainage, northern Myanmar and Manipur, India. Habitat: freshwater.
