Paratypes: BPBM 40950 (2), HUMZ 200222 (1). •Valid as Sillago caudicula Kaga, Imamura & Nakaya 2010 -- (Kaga et al. 2012:65 [ref. 32233], Kaga 2013:92 [ref. 32686], Golani et al. 2013:413 [ref. 32789], Xiao et al. 2016:9 [ref. 35074], Fricke et al. 2018:176 [ref. 35805], Xiao et al. 2021:97 [ref. 38073], Heemstra 2022:386 [ref. 39850], Saha et al. 2022:13 [ref. 39210], Yu et al. 2022:1341 [ref. 39787]). Current status: Valid as Sillago caudicula Kaga, Imamura & Nakaya 2010. Sillaginidae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: Oman, Madagascar. Habitat: marine.
