Holotype: MZUSP 50130. Paratypes: LBP 3061 (11, 1 c&s), MZUSP 27979 (15). •Valid as Ctenobrycon oliverai Benine, Lopes & Ron 2010 -- (DoNascimiento et al. 2017:61 [ref. 35633], Benine 2024:143 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Ctenobrycon oliverai Benine, Lopes & Ron 2010. Characidae: Stethaprioninae. Distribution: South America: Río Orinoco Basin, Venezuela and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
