staecki, Rivulus Schindler [I.] & Valdesalici [S.] 2011:111, Figs. 1-5 [Vertebrate Zoology v. 61 (no. 1); ref. 31382] Rio Negro drainage, pond close to village Arigua [Darigua on p. 112], about 20 km south of San Carlos de Rio Negro, ca. 1°50'N, 67°02'W, Estado Amazonas, Venezuela. Holotype: MCNG-UNELLEZ 56350. Paratypes: MCNG-UNELLEZ 56351 (1); MTD F 32344-32348 and 32397-32400 (9), plus author collection (1, c&s). •Valid as Rivulus staecki Schindler & Valdesalici 2011 -- (Vermeulen et al. 2013:191 [ref. 32954], Vermeulen & Mejia-Vargas 2020:34 [ref. 37938]). •Valid as Laimosemion staecki (Schlinder & Valdesalici 2011) -- (Costa & Lazzarotto 2014:372 [ref. 33247]). Current status: Valid as Laimosemion staecki (Schindler & Valdesalici 2011). Rivulidae: Rivulinae. Distribution: Rio Negro Basin, Amazonas, Venezuela and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
