Paratypes: ZMMU P-22664 (1), P-22665 (1). Non-type material: North Atlantic specimens of microps, non Günther 1878 may be variants of this species (p. 573). •Valid as Melamphaes falsidicus Kotlyar 2011 -- (Kotlyar 2012:253 [ref. 32009], Carneiro et al. 2019:150 [ref. 37250], Sutton et al. 2020:242 [ref. 37832]). Current status: Valid as Melamphaes falsidicus Kotlyar 2011. Melamphaidae. Distribution: North Atlantic Ocean: ca. 34°N-58°N. Habitat: marine.
