Holotype: ZSI-WGRS V/F 13118. Paratypes: ZSI-WGRS V/F 13118a-b (2). •Valid as Homaloptera silasi Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011 -- (Kottelat 2012:50 [ref. 32367] as 'Homaloptera'). •Valid as Ghatsa silasi (Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011) -- (Randall & Page 2015:79 [ref. 33701] with question, Bleher 2018:111 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Ghatsa silasi (Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011). Balitoridae. Distribution: South Asia: Periyar River drainage in the Sivagiri Hills, Western Ghats, Kerala, southern India. Habitat: freshwater.
