Paratypes: AMS I.45575-001 (1); NHCY-P 4 (4); SMF 29207 (4), 33400 (3), 33552-57 (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1). •Valid as Pseudochromis chrysospilus Gill & Zajonz 2011 -- (Zajonz et al. 2019:72 [ref. 36871], Gill 2022:135 [ref. 39748]). Current status: Valid as Pseudochromis chrysospilus Gill & Zajonz 2011. Pseudochromidae: Pseudochrominae. Distribution: Northwestern Indian Ocean: Socotra (Yemen) endemic. Habitat: marine.
