Holotype: MUSM 32383. Paratypes: many at AUM, CUMV, MUSM. MZUSP. Plus additional non-type material. Name treated as a noun in apposition by the authors. •Valid as Peckoltia relictum (Lujan, Armbruster & Rengifo 2011) -- (Armbruster & Lujan 2016:107 [ref. 34264]). Current status: Valid as Peckoltia relictum (Lujan, Armbruster & Rengifo 2011). Loricariidae: Hypostominae. Distribution: Marañon River drainage and possibly the Huallaga River, Peru. Habitat: freshwater.
