H.] 2012:12, Figs. 8 [Zootaxa No. 3233; ref. 31839] Rio São Domingos, tributary of Rio Muzambinho, Rio Grande basin, 21°23'22"S, 46°28'40"W, municipality of Muzambinho, Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Holotype: MZUSP 110365. Paratypes: many at DZSJRP, LBP, MZUSP, NUP. Type catalog: Andrade et al. 2017:451 [ref. 35588], Oliveira et al. 2022:14 [ref. 39255]. •Valid as Neoplecostomus langeanii Roxo, Oliveira & Zawadzki 2012 -- (Roxo et al. 2014:125 [ref. 33492], Andrade & Langeani 2014:9 [ref. 33618], Cherobim et al. 2016:10 [ref. 35001], Pereira & Reis 2017:74 [ref. 35307], Roxo et al. 2017:238 [ref. 35467], Silva et al. 2019:101 [ref. 36454]). Current status: Valid as Neoplecostomus langeanii Roxo, Oliveira & Zawadzki 2012. Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Distribution: South America: Rio Muzambinho drainages, Rio Grande basin (Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
