R.] 2012:69, Figs. 28f-g, 32 [Zootaxa No. 3294; ref. 31960] Bay off northwestern side of Selat Iris, 3°54.544'S, 134°09.679'E, Triton Bay, West Papua, Indonesia, depth 11.5-012 meters. Holotype: NCIP 6315. Paratypes: BPBM 40999 (5), NCIP 6316 (6), SAIAB 96147 (6), USNM 396981 (7), WAM P.32799-001 (6). •Valid as Siphamia stenotes Gon & Allen 2012 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:415 [ref. 31980], Mabuchi et al. 2014:201 [ref. 33426], Gon et al. 2014:337 [ref. 33558], Fraser & Prokofiev 2016:229 [ref. 34742], Kuiter & Kozawa 2019:154 [ref. 36965] as stenotus). Current status: Valid as Siphamia stenotes Gon & Allen 2012. Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Western Pacific: West Papua (Indonesia). Habitat: marine.
