Paratypes: BMNH 1936.8.26.984-986 (3), 1936.8.26.962 (1); plus several lots at UAB. •Valid as Patagolycus melastomus Matallanas & Corbella 2012 -- (Koerber 2023:31 [ref. 40486]). Current status: Valid as Patagolycus melastomus Matallanas & Corbella 2012. Zoarcidae: Lycodinae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic: off Argentina and Falkland Islands. Habitat: marine.
