Holotype: MZB 20597. Paratypes: BPBM 40709 (1), WAM P.33090.9-011 (1). •Valid as Parapercis sagma Allen & Erdmann 2012 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:756 [ref. 31980], Ho 2015:269 [ref. 33919], Fricke et al. 2019:250 [ref. 36673], Allen et al. 2024:1301 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Parapercis sagma Allen & Erdmann 2012. Pinguipedidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Fakfak Peninsula, West Papua (Indonesia), New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Vanuatu. Habitat: marine.
