Appeared first in Kramer et al. 2012:2232 [ref. 32160], with a citation to a paper in press ["forthcoming"]. •Valid as Petrocephalus frieli Lavoué 2012. Current status: Valid as Petrocephalus frieli Lavoué 2012. Mormyridae. Distribution: Upper Luapula River, Congo River basin. Habitat: freshwater.
