Current status: Valid as Petrocephalus longicapitis Kramer, Bills, Skelton & Wink 2012. Mormyridae. Distribution: Zambezi River, Namibia and Lumwana River, Zambia, south to Okavango Delta, Angola and Botswana. Habitat: freshwater.
