Paratypes: SOU 10111802 (1), 10111803 (1). •Valid as Triplophysa jiarongensis Lin, Li & Song 2012 -- (Kottelat 2012:127 [ref. 32367], Yang in Lan et al. 2013:256 [ref. 32910], Zhang et al. 2016:138 [ref. 34477], Liu et al. 2017:844 [ref. 35125], Li et al. 2018:62 [ref. 36072], Wu et al. 2018:93 [ref. 35971]). •Valid as Oreonectes jiarongensis (Lin, Li & Song 2012) -- (Liu et al. 2019:401 [ref. 36573], Zhou 2019:2 [ref. 36911]). •Valid as Troglonectes jiarongensis (Lin, Li & Song 2012) -- (Huang et al. 2019:117 [ref. 37137], Zhao et al. 2021:423 [ref. 38385], Li et al. 2023:7 [ref. 40200]). •Synonym of Troglonectes elongatus (Tang, Zhao & Zhang 2012) -- (Luo et al. 2023:[4] [ref. 40042]). Current status: Valid as Troglonectes jiarongensis (Lin, Li & Song 2012). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: cave system of the Liujiang River basin, northern Guizhou Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
