Holotype: SAIAB 84192. Paratypes: many at AMS, MNHN, NSMT, NTM, SAIAB. •Valid as Nemipterus flavomandibularis Russell & Tweddle 2013 -- (Russell & Gouws 2020:579 [ref. 38021], Russell 2022:330 [ref. 39836]). Current status: Valid as Nemipterus flavomandibularis Russell & Tweddle 2013. Nemipteridae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: Seychelles Ban,Saya da Malha Bank and Mascarene Plateau. Habitat: marine.
