Current status: Valid as Micropterus chattahoochae Baker, Johnston & Blanton 2013. Centrarchidae: Lepominae. Distribution: Eastern North America: Chattahoochee River system, eastern Alabama and western Georgia (U.S.A.). Introduced in Puerto Rico (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
