Paratypes: SAIAB 83953 (1). •Valid as Novaculops alvheimi Randall 2013 -- (Parenti & Randall 2018:19 [ref. 35964], Fukui 2020:562 [ref. 37325], Randall & Victor 2022:230 [ref. 39916]). Current status: Valid as Novaculops alvheimi Randall 2013. Labridae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: Saint Brandon's Shoals (Cargados Carajos). Habitat: marine.
